December!!

Despite being bored or lonely at times, annoyed to the bones by the mother, I am thoroughly enjoying my holiday. :D

It's the season of giving, which means presents!

I wish December can last longer......

More About You and Me

I think this is a lazy baby. I have been a lazy girl for the past 4 months or so. At work, I try to just do the minimal. At home, I look forward to afternoon naps and meals. I try to move around as much as I can, but still, I am so inactive compared to the pre-pregnancy me.

I wish the hubby can accompany me for long walks every day.

It is so fun to feel you move inside me. At least I hope that it is you moving, not my stomach or intestine doing some work instead. I am starting to fall in love with you. :)

We are going shopping for baby's stuff next month; hoping to grab some good bargains.

Then, the question about taking no pay leave or not. As much as I want to, the money part seems to hold me back. Can I?

New Priorities

The title says it all.

April 2012.

I am anticipating.

I am scared.

I promise (to myself) that I will NOT turn yellow.

Cross my heart and hope to die.

Updates

I fell off a horse yesterday. My butt hurts really bad and now my neck is sore too. I can't really bend and turn my head. Well, at least the bruises are getting better ( I feel), compared to yesterday, when I tried to reach my legs during shower and I teared 'cause it was so painful. I hope it will heal soon, then I can resume training for KOTR. Now I even have difficulty turning around in my bed and wearing my pants. Shake head.

I know I should stay at home and rest my poor bruised body instead of climbing up and down the stairs in school and worsening my condition, but I can't afford to. August is a really short month and I'm rushing to complete the syllabus like mad. Sigh.

I will be taking a break from horse riding. I have completed the Beginner's course and Novice 1 is getting challenging. Perhaps I will continue next month. Hehe.

There's a secret though. I am late. :P

BOILING POINT

Words can hardly express my anger and disbelief.

You can't control your child and now your child is throwing tantrum, saying that she doesn't wanna go to school for some f****** reason, you call me and start scolding.

Hello?!?!?! Are you the mum or am I? If I am able to pacify her and make her listen to me instead of you, then what kind of a lousy mother are you?  And please don't start blaming other children for your daughter's 'disability'. I am disgusted and shocked by your words. Before you start to degrade people, please take a look at yourself. The child's family whom you have just badmouthed about is worth much more than your whole ancestral line. Please, take a look at yourself. You are the one who should be blamed. Not others.

It is very rare for me to start cursing people. And you have just made me do that.
Be careful while crossing the road.

Germs Are Everywhere

(from Yahoo News)
7 Germiest Public Places

On average, you can touch as many as 30 germy objects a minute. While coexisting with microbes is a necessary fact of life, here are the top seven places that are best left untouched.

On July 1 American health and nutrition magazine Prevention reported on the germiest public places, with some practical tips on how to steer clear of the bugs that could make you sick.

1. Restaurant menus - A new study reported that cold and flu viruses can survive for 18 hours on hard surfaces, cites Prevention. Restaurant menus get passed along to hundreds of people and are rarely washed, so wash your hands after you place your order.

2. Lemon wedges - Slice of lemon with your tea? If you're at a restaurant, go citrus-less. Researchers ordering drinks at 21 different restaurants found 25 different microorganisms lurking on lemons -- including E. coli.

3. Condiment dispensers - Maybe skip the ketchup too. Or use a disinfectant wipe beforehand -- although you will run the risk of looking like a germophobe. "Holding the bottle with a napkin won't help; napkins are porous, so microorganisms can pass right through," states Prevention.
4. Restroom soap dispensers - Gross-out factoid of the day: about 25 percent of public restroom dispensers are contaminated with fecal bacteria, experts say. Since most soap dispensers are never cleaned, the bacteria grow, so scrub your hands thoroughly with hot water for 15 to 20 seconds after touching the dispenser.

5. Grocery carts - In 2007, a study found that the handles of almost two-thirds of the shopping carts tested were contaminated with fecal bacteria, with bacteria counts exceeding those of your average public restroom. Your best friend is a disinfectant wipe to swab down the handle.

6. Airplane bathrooms - Your in-flight restroom trip could expose you to E. coli lurking on the surfaces of the faucets and doorknobs, according to a study. Plus, you're 100 times more likely to catch a cold on an airplane than on the ground, according to a new study. Prevention recommends self-protecting by taking green tea supplements. A 2007 study found that people who took a 450-milligram green tea supplement twice daily for three months had one-third fewer days of cold symptoms. The supplement brand used in the study was Immune Guard ($30 for 60 pills; immune-guard.us).

7. Doctor's office - Limit your exposure when visiting your physician by packing your own tissues, hand sanitizers, and magazines. When in the waiting room, try to leave some space between yourself and the others waiting to reduce the chances of catching their bugs, especially if someone is sneezing or coughing.

That is why I'm so conscious about cleanliness and hygiene!

Really

You see, as a sociology graduate, I totally understand and agree what my professors taught me.

Some things in the society happen because society needs it to happen to make the society the one that we are all familiar with. Those things don't happen quite naturally. If there isn't a norm, a lot of things won't even exist.

I don't actually know what I'm trying to convey here.

I'm just full of anger and disappointment at this time that I need to vent my frustrations somewhere.

Looking Not Bad After All

The morale of the night: Be daring to try; keep your mind open.

My legs are aching and I am four hours past my bedtime. Yet I feel good! Thanks to my colleague who brought me to her den, Cuba Libre! :)

Initially, I was skeptical about the place. 30 minutes into it, I was enjoying myself! The people were great and the deejay played MY kinda music! The live band was cool too.

On hindsight, I hadn't clubbed for soooooooo long that any kind of club would have been fun for me.

That is in fact, quite pathetic, isn't it?

Just Like This?

The nearer it gets, the more I feel that I'm not gonna have a blast.

I feel so sad.

Is it me? Is it time to stop all those playful desires?

It's May

I love the long weekends.

Somehow I am glad that I am a teacher because I get to have another Monday off because of the polling day.

That gives me 3 consecutive long weekends!

I feel quite ashamed to admit that I am still clueless about my GRC and the candidates.

In fact, I am clueless about politics.

I don't think I have the energy to bother so much; I don't think I am that bothered anyway.

Wait till I become Princess Yuni, just like how Kate Middleton becomes a royalty now, then maybe I will express more interest. Oh well, apathy is not a crime, right?

Club Can't Handle Me

When was the last time I went? 3 months ago? Gosh.

Lulu, I think you're the only one in my social circle now that I can count on to go with me. Please do not quit. P L E A S E

So the only comfort I give to myself nowadays when I wanna go but can't (NOBODY TO GO WITH!!) is that the club can't really handle me anyway.. LOL

And so, my bedroom becomes the dance floor.

Give Her A Break

She is the poor girl who has been smashed by the media very harshly. She broke the record in YouTube for having more than a million dislikes (WOW!).

True, she sounds awful. And I wonder what Simon Cowell can say about her singing. But hey, give her a break. She's only like what, 16? I don't know.

For those of you who have never heard of Rebecca Black, go on and listen. Be the judge. :)

Me.

If there was a video recording every single moment of how I endured their quarrels, you would see the damage they had done.

If there was some kind of a tool to peek inside my heart to see how it was never whole, you would understand why I seemed so cold sometimes.

If you had seen the damage inside of me, you would discover that I'd give anything to prevent something similar from happening to us.

If you had seen whatever is left of me, you could never bring yourself to blame me for wanting to take the easier way out.

But I don't think you can. Because if you had, I wouldn't be writing all these now.

An Achievement!

It's the FIRST time I went to the market by MYSELF. I bought 15 pieces of yong tau fu ($2.50) to cook lunch with. I was walking proudly on the way home. :P

And I thought to myself, how nice would it be to wake up everyday knowing that your day starts with a morning walk to the market. But when the thought continues to the part where most of my time has to be in the kitchen preparing meals, I went 'Urgh'.

Hey BODY,

You have been aching the whole day, feeling feverish and suffering from a bad headache.

Can you please fight the whatever bug that is inside away?? As your owner firmly believes that you are in desperate need of a detox, you only had apples and carrot soup for today. Is it working? Are you busy fighting the germs? Please do.

The owner doen't want to waste this weekend.

With the help of BEAFLU, you should get better soon. :)

Lovey Dovey Till Death Do Us Part

THAT will be my dream.

THAT will be the one thing that is easier said than done.

I just saw my colleague, being driven to work by her hubby of 25 years, I repeat, 25 YEARS, kissing goodbye to each other.

My first thought, "WOW!"

It's really not easy to maintain a loving relationship but I hope to achieve that.

Shall we?

The Sensible People Will Choose To Not Celebrate Today

My colleague asked how I am going to celebrate tonight, and I said, "No la, waste money!"

It is just a day invented by people for people to earn big bucks and for people to spend unnecessarily. (If you can read this accurately, my people refers to different types of people.)

Anyway, I feel quite bad for not getting the hubby anything, when he is getting me something. I don't know what is it though. Hmmm. Quite anticipating it. Hehe.

Well, Happy Valentine's Day!

IT'S 2011

I have spent so much money in 2010 that I should be spending the next year living in SUPER BUDGET.

Other than getting my own house and a change of car in 2011, will there be any more exciting happenings?

I anticipate. :)

May Prince(s) Charming arrive for Lenny, Laura and Frances.
